Welcome to Langdale Primary School's website. We are a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Westlands and Clayton community in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
We welcome children from the age of 2 in our Little Learners facility and enjoy watching them flourish and grow into unique individuals as they journey through our school, leaving us with the necessary life skills to be successful learners for life.
Our success is built upon our strong school vision that everyone in our school community is an important PART of making our school a success. Our staff, children and families show PRIDE in being a part of our school community, they show AMBITION for all, they are RESILIENT and RESPECTFUL and they work TOGETHER to achieve this.
As part of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, we are proud to embrace their vision that children are at the centre of all that we do. Our curriculum is bespoke and is designed with our children, families and community in mind. We foster strong relationships between our school and our families and would extend a warm welcome to any prospective parents looking for a nurturing school with a strong ethos and values.

We have been making our own thick oozy mud, went on a 'bear'-foot walk exploring what it felt like using our feet, made our own 'forest' playdough and explored the different textures using senses to help develop our oracy skills. - 23 Jan 2026Our EYFS children have had fantastic week developing their Maths, fine motor and tracking skills. They have been naming shapes and lines, developing their fine motor skills using tweezers and pincer grip to place a variety of sized buttons on to the lines. Children extended their learning by describing colours and sizes of the buttons, building great oracy skills and cooperative interactions with their peers!
