This week the children have explored the story of 'Elmer'. We have looked at celebrating difference and explored what makes us unique. We also found out that Elmer could make himself invisible and have been hearing him around the classroom all week! We have developed our fine motor skills and understanding of colour, shapes and patterns by helping to paint a huge Elmer picture on our playground. We have also made repeating patterns, looked at opposites of dirty and clean by painting and washing animals and even developed our knowledge of shapes by decorating Elmer with new patterns which included 2D shapes.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
