This week Wraparound have been expanding on their knowledge in relation to Family and Customs. During circle time we have been discussing similarities and differences, such as what makes us and our families special, which has encouraged the children to talk about home and family life by asking and answering simple questions such as "Who lives in your house?" and "How many people live in your house?". The children have been exploring the 'All About Me Sorting Neighborhood Set' in the glitter tray which has encouraged the children to touch count accurately. Wraparound have enjoyed using a variety of utensils to cut, slice, peel and chop various wooden foods, aswell as playing with the small world dolls house. This week has been filled with lots of craft making such as; drawing facial features on laminated faces and creating self portraits using craft materials such as coloured string, felt, card and googly eyes. The children have also created amazing representations of different family members.
Next week Wraparound will be focusing on 'Holidays'.
