This week Wraparound have focussing on Fossils. The children have enjoyed the Bug fossil tuff spot, Dinosaurs in the sand, and coloured Dinosaurs and eggs in the water tray. We have been discussing Dinosaur skeletons by matching pictures of various Dinosaurs to the Fossil skeletons, which has supported the use of describing words such as "big", "small", "long" and "spikey". Dinosaur skeletons have been created using different length cotton wool buds, and fossil printing in the playdough. The children have been colouring pictures, ordering different sized bones, and investigating Dinosaur skeletons in mouldable sand and using various tools such as tooth brushes, paint brushes, tweezers and rollers.
Next weeks topic is Dinosaurs.
