The last two weeks Wraparound have been learning about Frog Life cycle's and Flowers. We have talked about the stages of a frog life cycle and looked at stories such as "The teeny weeny Tadpole" and "Frog on a log". This has supported the children's understanding when investigating in the sensory frog pond tuff spot. The children have been practising their maths skills by identifying numerals and quantities to the written representation of number as well as using pre-positional language. Spinning tops in glitter and and jumping frogs were used to promote fine motor skills.
This week Wraparound have been investigating and exploring flowers and plants, by planting seeds and discussing the different stages of growing flowers and plants. During these discussions we have been able to discover new vocabulary and understanding. Lots of amazing craft has been created using glue, glitter, sequins, lentils, various shapes and straws to create a stem. Playdough has been used to create food, flowers, animals, bugs and many more!
Next week Wraparound will be learning about Easter.
