Listen Up!

During the Autumn Term we are working on developing our speaking and listening skills. The goal is for all of our children to be able to listen attentively and respond to 2-part instructions, ask questions, answer ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions, and to be able to speak in full sentences, whilst  including any relevant detail.

You can help at home by encouraging your child to speak clearly using full sentences, encourage them to give detail, engage in dialogue with your children, e.g. by speaking to them about their school day. Please also see our ‘Vocabulary of the Week’ on our end -of-week review letters.
