The Wraparound children have been exploring the world of "Mini Beasts" this week. We listened to the story of "The case of the missing Caterpillar". We have been improving our fine motor and counting skills with the 'Build a Beetle' game. In the tuff spot we have been searching amongst the soil to find the mini beasts, and then matching them with the pictures on the cards. In the 'black' water we have had lots of spiders! Jugs, funnels and measuring cylinders have been used to develop the children's knowledge of numbers and capacity in the water tray, and the children had fun searching for the spiders in the black water! Lots of incredible art has been created using lots of different materials and utensils. The children chose which craft they wanted to do and independently used their imaginations to create their art. To celebrate 'red nose day' the children have done cosmic yoga in the classroom.
Next week we are learning about the life cycle of a frog.
