During Potions and Recipes week, Wraparound have been using their imaginations by making spells and potions in the sensory tuff spot, using numbered sentence cards which include adding various amounts of lentils, spiders, eyeballs and frogs together in cauldrons. The children have developed their understanding by categorising simple shapes using gems, and also using the gems to develop touch count accuracy, and matching quantities to numerals dispalyed on potion bottles. Wraparound children have also been making potions in the jellibaff, feeding the witch some bugs, and playing tricks on the staff by placing the spiders on their legs to make them jump! Lots of mark making has taken place using various craft materials to decorate potion bottles, creating representations of people, shapes and name writing in the glitter tray.We have had lots of different spiders created using black playdough and added googly eyes to them too!
Next week Wraparound will be focussing on Farm animals.
