Nursery have been exploring the story of 'Whatever Next' and how we can go on different adventures that are out of this world. We looked closely at baby bear's rocket he had made from a box and decided to have a go at making our own vehicles using junk. We have had some wonderful creations, including: rockets, double decker buses, planes, monster trucks and trains. The children have been really excited about bringing them home to play with and show off.
We have also changed up our outdoor area ready for the summer weather and the children have loved playing with the new areas which is safely under cover from sun if we have hotter days. We've had exploding volcanos in the sand pit, marbles runs in the water tray and even had some sun loungers built too!
The children have also been working really hard to develop their reading and writing skills. We have used the phonics sounds and words we have learnt so far to teach our classroom robot words. The children have identified sounds and copied letters beautifully. We have also been exploring balancing when building boats in the water tray.
