Welcome to Langdale Primary School's website. We are a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Westlands and Clayton community in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

We welcome children from the age of 2 in our Little Learners facility and enjoy watching them flourish and grow into unique individuals as they journey through our school, leaving us with the necessary life skills to be successful learners for life.

Our success is built upon our strong school vision that everyone in our school community is an important PART of making our school a success. Our staff, children and families show PRIDE in being a part of our school community, they show AMBITION for all, they are RESILIENT and RESPECTFUL and they work TOGETHER to achieve this.

As part of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, we are proud to embrace their vision that children are at the centre of all that we do. Our curriculum is bespoke and is designed with our children, families and community in mind. We foster strong relationships between our school and our families and would extend a warm welcome to any prospective parents looking for a nurturing school with a strong ethos and values.

Reception have enjoyed their PE lesson this week, focusing on their under arm throwing skills. The lesson's theme was Snowfall and we pretended to be snow angels and be snowmen and pretended to sledge for our warm up. Then we used beanbags as snowballs and snowflakes and aimed them at the hoop and then cones which we pretended were snow hills!The children had a fabulous time and can't wait for their next lesson! #beproud #BeAmbitious #beresilient #together #beapartoflangdale

School Council would like to say a big 'Thank you' for the kind food donations which have come in already this week - some of them have been very, very generous and will be much appreciated by local families in need. If you would like to contribute to our Christmas food collection (in conjunction with Kingsbridge Medical Practice, the Salvation Army and local food banks), then any food items that you can spare will be gratefully received.

This week Reception are super excited to be joining in with the Daily Mile as part of our whole school challenge! We've been enjoying getting outside and getting active with many of the children running so many laps they can't keep up and lots encouraging one another to keep on going. Today a number of Year 5 and 6 Children were chosen to take part in a Newcastle Schools Dodgeball tournament. The children played absolutely amazingly and represented the school so well. We really are so proud of them, especially as this was some of the children's first time representing the school! Year 5 went on a trip today to Shrewsbury Prison. We have been learning about crime and punishment in our History topic so this was a lovely way to find out more and add to our knowledge. We had a fantastic time! #beproud #BeAmbitious #beresilient #together #beapartoflangdale
