Welcome to

Langdale Primary School

Welcome to Langdale Primary School's website. We are a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Westlands and Clayton community in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

We welcome children from the age of 2 in our Little Learners facility and enjoy watching them flourish and grow into unique individuals as they journey through our school, leaving us with the necessary life skills to be successful learners for life.

Our success is built upon our strong school vision that everyone in our school community is an important PART of making our school a success. Our staff, children and families show PRIDE in being a part of our school community, they show AMBITION for all, they are RESILIENT and RESPECTFUL and they work TOGETHER to achieve this.

As part of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, we are proud to embrace their vision that children are at the centre of all that we do. Our curriculum is bespoke and is designed with our children, families and community in mind. We foster strong relationships between our school and our families and would extend a warm welcome to any prospective parents looking for a nurturing school with a strong ethos and values.

If you would like to visit our school, please contact us on 01782 948000 or email the office on office@langdale.staffs.sch.uk.

I look forward to meeting you and showing you all that Langdale Primary School has to offer.

Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to in Year 3. In Science, we were learning about light and shadow. We looked at how to make shadows larger/smaller and how to alter the brightness. We have practised our glockenspiel skills in music and looked at how a fetus develops in the womb in our PSHCE lessons. We also said a very sad farewell to Mrs Farmiloe who has helped the children (and teachers) so much during her time here at Langdale. We made a book of portraits and all wrote a special message for her. We have also recently looked at the role that different parts of a plant play in helping it to be healthy. We planted some seeds and removed one of the core four from each seed to see which of the core four were the most important. #beproud #BeAmbitious #beresilient #BeTogether #bepartoflangdale

Big 'Shout Out' to our wonderful Year 4 children who surpassed expectations in their multiplication times table check earlier this month. They should all be very proud of themselves! We received the results this week, which absolutely reflect the effort and commitment that they have all put in to learning their multiplication facts! Well done Year 4! #beproud #BeAmbitious #beresilient #BeTogether #beapartoflangdale

It's time for Year 3 to take over Langdale's social media!! Throughout the week, we will be keeping you up to date with everything that we have been doing this week and the past few weeks. Today, we have started our Geography unit where we are learning about our European neighbours. Today, we used an atlas to identify countries by their flags and then found the capital cities. You could maybe give them a quick little test when they get home to see what they have remembered!!
