Teaching and Learning
At Langdale Primary School, to ensure high quality teaching and learning for all of our children, we have devised our own Pedagogical Model, building upon the work of Alex Bedford and using a wide range of research around cognitive science. This research-based approach ensures that lessons are well-structured, purposeful, progressive and provide support to all pupils. Not only does this approach promote inclusion but ensures that lessons are coherent, structured and they build on prior learning to support clear outcomes. The components of the pedagogical model ensure there is a defined sequence to effective teaching and learning. Each component has it's own purpose in developing our learners to be independent, applying the knowledge acquired.
