Welcome to Langdale Primary School's website. We are a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Westlands and Clayton community in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

We welcome children from the age of 2 in our Little Learners facility and enjoy watching them flourish and grow into unique individuals as they journey through our school, leaving us with the necessary life skills to be successful learners for life.

Our success is built upon our strong school vision that everyone in our school community is an important PART of making our school a success. Our staff, children and families show PRIDE in being a part of our school community, they show AMBITION for all, they are RESILIENT and RESPECTFUL and they work TOGETHER to achieve this.

As part of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, we are proud to embrace their vision that children are at the centre of all that we do. Our curriculum is bespoke and is designed with our children, families and community in mind. We foster strong relationships between our school and our families and would extend a warm welcome to any prospective parents looking for a nurturing school with a strong ethos and values.

Today Year 1 to 6 were incredibly lucky to have Kerri Welsh in to give them an inspirational talk on her footballing career. Kerri is the England Ladies U-17's head coach and she talked to the children all about how she made her career in football along with showing them the inspirational journey she has been on. The children could see how Kerri embodied our values of Respect and Resilience and how they can use those skills to achieve in their futures. The children were very shocked to find out that Kerri also attended Langdale when she was little and our own Mrs Cartwright was one of her inspirational teachers too! We have loved hearing Kerri's story and can't wait to welcome her back to Langdale very soon! #bepartoflangdale #proudambitiousresiliencetogether

Year three had a very spooky treat this morning. They came to school wearing spooky clothes, watched a spooky film and completed some spooky activities. They chose this as their perfect attendance treat.

National Memorial Arboretum Y2 had a fantastic trip this week, linked to our recent History learning about Remembrance and how we remember significant events and people from the past. We all had chance to explore the different memorials around the arboretum on a beautiful autumn day, which really brought all our learning to life. We also took part in a poppy activity, decorating a remembrance poem with poppies that we made or drew. Afterwards, we took part in our own Remembrance service, observed a moment's silence and laid a poppy wreath. The staff at the arboretum were very impressed with the children's knowledge and vocabulary around remembrance, and the significant dates, places and events linked to the First World War. All in all, a great trip! Well done, Y2 - you did Langdale proud!
