Every child at Langdale Primary School matters to us. Through our emphasis on the British Values, we ensure that all children, regardless of background/faith/ethnicity, leave our school with the necessary skills to be a successful, empathetic, morally secure person who contributes positively to society. Our comprehensive mapping of British Values through our JIGSAW programme of studies identifies where we explicitly teach British Values.
We implicitly teach it through:
Democratically voting throughout the school year
Consulting our children on policy and practise
Our enhanced curriculum offer
Cultural days, where we experience what it is like to be a part of an unfamiliar culture.
