Care Club

Welcome to Langdale School Care Club

Our primary aim in Care club is to provide HIGH QUALITY child care both before and after school and during the school holiday periods, providing a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.

The facility is seen as allowing all parents/carers the opportunity to fully participate in the work place without having concern of arranging child care outside the confines of the school environment.

Our Early Years childcare provides a warm, secure and educational environment for children aged 2-4 to learn and develop, whilst providing parents with a childcare facility that enables them to continue to work, with the knowledge that their child is safe, cared for, and on the beginning of their Langdale learning journey.

Please take a look at our class pages for more information.

Little Learners:  We do now take children from 2 years old, funded and non funded and also accept Golden Tickets for 2 year old funding laugh.  Funding for 3 year old children is not available until the term after your child's 3rd birthday, but your child can attend our setting as soon as they turn 3, the price information is in the registration packs above . Extended hours funding (30 hr funding) is also available the term after the child's 3rd birthday, this has to be applied for by the parent and needs to be updated regularly and when prompted to keep your extra funding up to date. Please go to Childcare Choices to apply.

For further information on 30 hour funding please visit the Childcare Choices website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk where you will find a wealth of information.

Early Years Foundation Stage [EYFS]

We comply with all requirements for children who come into this age group e.g. up to 31st August after the child's fifth birthday.  We work closely with the school as your child's main provider, to ensure good communication about your child's development is shared between different settings.

Breakfast & Snacks

We provide , cereals, toast, pancakes, crumpets, tea cakes, spreads, yoghurts, fruit and a drink for children attending our breakfast club before 8.20am.  During the afternoon a healthy snack is offered each day.  We encourage the children to drink plenty and offer diluted fruit juice, milk or water.  Drinking water is available at all times.  During the Holiday Club, breakfast is provided until 8.30am, and  parents/carers are asked to send in a packed lunch for their child/ren.  Before and during the time that children are eating we promote good hygiene and encourage good table manners, quiet conversation and ask the children to eat their savoury food first.

Activities

We provide a varied range of activities to make sure there is always something that will interest everyone.  Resources are provided to reflect a balanced view of the world and appreciation of the rich diversity of our society.

We also have use of the schools extensive outdoor areas and therefore feel that it is important that the children are able to play outside wherever possible.
