Launch day—The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig
Today we were introduced to our new class text, which is a ‘twisted fairy tale’. We started by watching the Makaton story of The Three Little Pigs, on which our story is based. Then we used sticks to design our own houses, like the pigs in the original story. We also played the games that the Little Wolves in the new story play—old favourites like piggy-in-the-middle, and the new games of badminton (battledore and shuttlecock in the book) and croquet (our version, using cricket bats and small plastic balls!) Now we can’t wait to start reading the story!
